Director Léa Mysius presents her third feature film, "Histoires de la nuit," adapted from the novel of the same name written by Laurent Mauvignier, according to RFI.
The film tells the story of a birthday party that turns into a nightmare at an isolated farmhouse. Three men arrive one evening while a family is celebrating a birthday, and a dark secret eventually comes to light, according to the same source.
For this project, billed as a film noir, Léa Mysius assembled a cast featuring Hafsia Herzi, Monica Bellucci, Benoît Magimel and Bastien Bouillon, according to RFI.
The director discussed her adaptation and directing work in an interview with RFI's "Invité culture" program, which aired on September 15.
