Kosovo: Former President Hashim Thaçi Sentenced to 25 Years for War Crimes
An international court based in The Hague found the former head of state guilty of war crimes committed in the 1990s.
The Kosovo Specialist Chambers ruled on Wednesday that Hashim Thaçi must serve 25 years in prison for war crimes attributed to the Kosovar guerrilla movement during the 1990s. The panel of international judges found him guilty of "unlawful arrest, torture, murder, and cruel treatment."
