Kisan Ittehad offers to host dialogue between government and opposition

Pakistan Kisan Ittehad President Khalid Mahmood Khokhar on Saturday called on the government and opposition political parties to sit together for dialogue, in order to address the country's economic, agricultural, food security and law-and-order challenges.

Speaking at a press conference in Multan, Khokhar said his organization was ready to facilitate and host such a dialogue in what he described as the larger national interest.

The offer comes amid continuing political tensions between the government and opposition parties, with farmers' groups such as Kisan Ittehad periodically weighing in on national economic and agricultural policy debates.

Khokhar's remarks position the organization as a potential mediating platform, though it remains to be seen whether the government or opposition parties will take up the offer.
