Karachi Mayor Orders Restoration After Steel Bar Theft at Nazimabad Underpass

Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab has taken notice of the theft of steel bars from the Nazimabad Underpass and directed the city's Engineering Department to begin restoration work immediately.

Wahab instructed the department to complete the repair work at the earliest opportunity, according to the announcement, following the discovery that steel bars had been stolen from the underpass structure.

The theft of construction materials such as steel bars from public infrastructure has periodically been reported as an issue affecting urban infrastructure maintenance in Karachi, prompting municipal authorities to respond with both repair orders and, in some cases, calls for tighter security around vulnerable sites.
