An Israeli man was shot dead on Sunday morning near the settlement of Halamish, close to Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, while he was with his son near a water source, according to RFI.
RFI reported that the suspected attacker was captured shortly afterward by the Israeli army. Around the same time, a Palestinian man was killed by Israeli forces, who accused him of trying to drive his car into soldiers. RFI noted that tensions in the West Bank were extremely high, coming just hours before the start of Yom Kippur.
