Israel's Central Elections Committee has barred the United Arab List party from participating in the upcoming Knesset race, according to Anadolu Agency.
The committee also disqualified Knesset member Ofer Cassif and Balad party chief Sami Abu Shehadeh from running, the report said.
The decisions are subject to review by Israel's Supreme Court, which has in the past overturned similar disqualification rulings against Arab and left-wing candidates.
Disqualification proceedings against Arab political parties and lawmakers in Israel have occurred ahead of previous election cycles, with challengers typically citing lawmakers' public statements or positions on issues related to Israeli policy toward Palestinians.
