Iranian Foreign Minister Holds Bilateral Talks on Sidelines of BRICS Summit in New Delhi

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi held a series of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of a BRICS summit in New Delhi held from September 11 to 12, 2026, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported.
According to IRNA, Araghchi met with his counterparts from Russia, China, Egypt, Indonesia and Kazakhstan during the two-day program.
The Iranian foreign minister also held discussions with other senior officials attending the summit, IRNA said, without providing further details on the specific topics discussed in each meeting.
IRNA's report, published as a photo gallery, documented Araghchi's engagements throughout the New Delhi gathering but did not elaborate on the substance of the talks or any outcomes.
BRICS, a grouping that includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa along with newer members, has periodically served as a venue for member and partner states to conduct diplomatic exchanges alongside the bloc's formal agenda.
