Iran's security chief has dismissed what he described as "mixed signals" from Washington, saying no negotiations between the two countries will take place until Iran's conditions are met, according to a report published by Mehr News Agency on September 15.
The official said statements coming from the United States have ranged from declarations that "we will not negotiate" to assertions that "we are ready to talk," but characterized these shifting positions as inconsistent, Mehr News reported.
Despite the varying messages from Washington, the security chief reiterated that Tehran would not enter talks until its own conditions are fulfilled, the report said.
