Iran's government has introduced a new fuel pricing policy that doubles costs for citizens who use more than 110 litres of fuel per month, according to a report by Al Jazeera.

Under the revised structure, fuel consumed beyond the 110-litre monthly threshold will be priced at 100,000 riyals per litre, the report said.

Al Jazeera reported that the government is urging citizens to cut back on fuel consumption as part of the new pricing plan.

The report did not specify additional details on how the policy will be implemented or its broader economic context.
