Investigation says Trump administration's 'remigration office' deported over 25,000 people to third countries

An investigation by the Forbidden Stories consortium found that a U.S. government office handling what it called "remigration" has deported more than 25,000 foreign nationals to third countries, Le Monde reported.

According to Le Monde, the investigation, carried out by 72 journalists from fifteen countries and twenty-three media outlets, found that the U.S. government allocated at least $410 million to host countries or UN agencies to enable the deportations.
