An investigation involving 72 journalists examined US treatment of migrants deported under agreements with countries across Africa and Latin America, according to France 24.
Of 25,000 deportations documented by reporters, the vast majority were sent across the border to Mexico, the outlet reported.
Journalist Sofía Álvarez Jurado, who took part in the investigation, described how migrants are forced across the border and what happens to them afterward, according to France 24.
