Authorities in Illinois are investigating an incident on Sunday in which a US citizen was detained by federal immigration agents and later hospitalized with injuries, according to The Guardian.
Police responding to an altercation found the injured man along with another person who identified himself as a federal agent, the newspaper reported.
The Guardian noted the case occurred the same day that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) shot and seriously wounded a man in Austin, Texas.
