Hundreds of drones targeted Moscow and surrounding regions on the final day of Russia's parliamentary elections, according to authorities. Moscow's mayor stated that more than 1,600 drones were intercepted and shot down across the region, with 450 directed at Moscow itself, killing at least two people and damaging a major oil refinery.
Russian officials accused Ukraine of attempting to disrupt the election through the strikes. Ukraine has not publicly commented on the attack.
