Scottish club Hibernian have appointed Dutch coach Marink Reedijk as their new manager, the club has confirmed.

Reedijk previously served as head coach of Belgian side Beveren before taking on his new role at Hibernian. Following his appointment, he said he was committed to developing a team characterized by bravery, intensity and commitment.

A new direction for Hibs

The appointment marks a new chapter for the Edinburgh-based club, which will be looking to Reedijk to bring fresh ideas and a distinct playing philosophy as he takes charge.

Details of his coaching staff, contract length and immediate priorities have not been disclosed in the information made available so far. Hibernian supporters will be watching his first matches in charge closely to see how his stated approach translates onto the pitch.

Reedijk becomes the latest in a series of managerial appointments across Scottish football this season, as clubs continue to reassess their technical leadership going into the campaign.
