Google and several hardware partners have introduced the first laptops carrying the new Googlebook name, according to The Verge. Five models are launching at once, made by Acer, Asus, Dell, HP and Lenovo.

The outlet reported that the laptops are available for preorder starting today and are due to reach stores on October 4th. Starting prices range from $899 to $1,299, the report said.

The Verge noted that this pricing places the new Googlebooks in the same range as competing mainstream laptops.
