Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani said in a Newsmax interview over the weekend that he is offended by Muslim Mayor Zohran Mamdani's plan to attend the main September 11 memorial service. "Having lost friends there and being very close to many of the families, it offends me that he's coming," Giuliani stated, according to The Guardian.
Current NYC Mayor Mamdani confirmed he will attend the memorial service but declined to respond directly to Giuliani's remarks.
