French radio broadcasters are calling for FM and DAB+ receivers to be made mandatory in all new cars, according to Le Monde.
The newspaper reported that some automakers, particularly American and Chinese manufacturers, no longer systematically include radio access in vehicle multimedia systems, offering only streaming platforms such as Spotify.
Industry representatives argue the move is needed to prevent a streaming monopoly, Le Monde said.
