French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu has pledged an additional 5 billion euros for local governments in the 2027 budget, according to Le Monde.
In a letter to the Senate, Lecornu committed to having spending by cities, departments and regions rise in line with inflation, while state spending would be "lower," Le Monde reported.
