French lawmakers begin review of comprehensive bill against gender-based violence

French lawmakers began detailed committee review Monday of a comprehensive bill against gender-based and sexual violence, according to Le Monde.

Feminist and child-advocacy groups have worked together on the text since 2024, the newspaper reported.

A special parliamentary committee is now examining the bill's 69 articles in detail, Le Monde said.
