Frasier Stars Jane Leeves and David Hyde Pierce Reflect on Daphne and Niles' Love Story

Jane Leeves and David Hyde Pierce, who played Daphne Moon and Niles Crane on the sitcom "Frasier," have reflected on the on-screen love story between their characters, which played out over seven seasons.

The pair, who are real-life friends, discussed their first impressions of each other's characters and how the dynamic between the snobbish, conflict-avoidant psychiatrist Niles and the working-class physical therapist Daphne, who joined the show as caretaker to the Crane family patriarch, developed into one of the series' defining romances.

Leeves and Hyde Pierce also spoke about key moments in the characters' relationship, including a memorable tango sequence and a kiss that became a highlight for fans of the show.

The two actors discussed their work together with warmth, describing the experience of building the characters' chemistry over the course of the series.

Their comments add to the enduring fan interest in Daphne and Niles' romance, which remains one of the most discussed storylines from "Frasier's" original run.
