France 24 Investigation Quantifies Deportations to Third Countries
More than 25,000 people have been removed from the United States to countries other than their own since January 2025, the outlet reports.
Since January 2025, the US administration has deported more than 25,000 people to so-called third countries not their own, according to France 24.
The broadcaster said it worked with Forbidden Stories and a consortium of 26 international media outlets, drawing on data from non-governmental organizations, open sources and field reporting to compile and map the deportations.
France 24 said the investigation offers a picture of the scale of a deportation policy it described as carried out with little transparency.
