Foreign buyers seek to localize production of Russia's Supercam S350 drone, company says

Foreign customers have expressed interest in localizing production of the Supercam S350 reconnaissance drone, according to Yekaterina Zgirovskaya, a spokeswoman for Russia's Unmanned Systems Group, cited by TASS.

Zgirovskaya said that international interest in the Supercam S350 has grown recently, which the company attributes in part to the drone's use in what Russian officials call the special military operation zone, their term for the campaign in Ukraine.

Localizing production abroad would involve setting up manufacturing capability for the drone outside Russia, an arrangement that could allow foreign partners to build or assemble the system domestically rather than relying solely on imports.

The company did not name the specific countries expressing interest, and no agreements have been announced publicly regarding localization deals for the platform.

Russian defence and unmanned systems manufacturers have increasingly promoted their combat-tested products for export in recent years, citing operational use as a selling point for potential international buyers.
