Eighteen people charged in connection with the assassination of former Haitian President Jovenel Moise have been extradited to the United States, according to RFI.

The suspects were extradited on September 20 and are expected to appear before federal court in Florida, the broadcaster reported.

Moise was assassinated at his private residence in Port-au-Prince during the night of July 6-7, 2021, according to RFI.
