Dutch riot police dispersed several hundred far-right protesters in The Hague on Saturday after violence erupted during a planned march against immigration and asylum policies. According to the Dutch public broadcaster NOS, 24 people were arrested after some protesters threw fireworks and other projectiles at police officers in a city centre park.
Local authorities moved to ban the demonstration following the violence, which prompted the police response.
