Deux pompiers girondins promus à la Légion d'honneur après leur décès en juillet
Anthony Berthôme et Wilfried Schmitter, morts le 21 juillet dans un incendie de forêt près de Bordeaux, sont honorés vendredi lors d'une cérémonie nationale.
Les deux pompiers professionnels, âgés de 34 ans chacun, exerçaient à la caserne Saint-Médard-en-Jalles en Gironde. Ils ont péri le 21 juillet dans un feu de forêt survenu à proximité de l'aéroport de Bordeaux.
Une cérémonie d'hommage national se déroulera vendredi 18 septembre au cours de laquelle les deux défunts seront promus à la Légion d'honneur.
