Under agreements the United States has struck with countries across Africa and Latin America, thousands of migrants seeking new lives in the US have instead been deported to nations they had never previously visited, according to France 24.

Working with Forbidden Stories, the broadcaster investigated the situations of several African migrants staying at a temporary shelter in Yaoundé, Cameroon, whose lives it said were upended by their sudden deportation from the United States.
