France 24 has featured the case of Rabbiatu Kuyateh, who was arrested, detained and expelled from the United States, as part of a broader look at deportations under the "The Deportation Project" investigation.

According to France 24, some of those deported after living for decades in the US had worked and paid taxes there before being arrested, detained, and sent to countries where the outlet said they had no clear resources or established status.

The report featured journalists Karina Chabour of The Deportation Project and Lise Kiennemann of France 24's Observers unit.
