Alors que les craintes liées à l'intelligence artificielle grandissent dans le monde du travail, l'économiste relativise les prévisions les plus alarmistes sur les destructions d'emplois.

L'inquiétude monte dans les entreprises face à la progression de l'intelligence artificielle, de nombreux salariés craignant d'être remplacés par ces nouvelles technologies. Selon un rapport de l'entreprise Coface, cité par RFI, un emploi sur six en France, soit environ 5 millions d'emplois, serait menacé par l'IA.
Ces craintes sont toutefois relativisées par l'économiste Antonin Bergeaud, membre du Conseil d'analyse économique et du Conseil de l'IA et du numérique, interrogé par RFI. Selon lui, « malgré les avancées de l'IA générative, les taux d'emploi n'ont pas baissé ».
L'économiste reconnaît que certains métiers seront « profondément modifiés » par l'arrivée de ces technologies. Il estime cependant que la grande majorité des professions « ne va pas disparaître », car, selon lui, « l'IA ne peut pas remplacer l'humain dans tout ».
Cette analyse intervient dans un contexte de préoccupation mondiale plus large autour de l'intelligence artificielle, entre craintes d'un remplacement massif de la main-d'œuvre et scénarios plus radicaux évoqués dans le débat public.
