A Sydney court has been shown CCTV footage recovered from the devices of Beau Lamarre-Condon, a former New South Wales police officer on trial for the murders of Jesse Baird and Luke Davies, according to The Guardian.
Lamarre-Condon has pleaded not guilty to murdering the two men and concealing their bodies in bags purchased from a sports store. The footage shown to the jury reportedly included images of the 31-year-old on a pub trip with another man.
Prosecution alleges premeditation
Prosecutors have alleged that Lamarre-Condon was seen sizing up a surfboard bag, later used to dispose of a victim, in the days before the alleged murders. The NSW Supreme Court trial also heard that, months earlier, the defendant had asked a friend over a video call for help obtaining an item and made a gun-shaped gesture with his hand.
The trial is ongoing, with prosecutors continuing to present evidence to the jury regarding the events leading up to the deaths of Baird and Davies.
