Portsmouth, Leicester, Exeter, Bristol and Nottingham will be among the British cities that warm the most by the end of the century as urban heat islands intensify, according to research from Ordnance Survey cited by The Guardian.

The analysis, developed with the Met Office and data firm 4 Earth Intelligence, found Portsmouth is the most vulnerable to extreme heat today and in the future, according to the report.
