Nearly 300 people were arrested in Chile during commemorations held Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12 in memory of victims of the Pinochet dictatorship, according to Le Monde.
In the absence of an official ceremony, thousands of protesters took to the streets to condemn the military dictatorship, which claimed over 3,200 victims, dead or disappeared.
