BRICS Nations Call for Fair Supply Chains of Critical Minerals
A BRICS statement, reported by TASS, says member countries recognize the importance of critical minerals for clean energy and energy security.

BRICS nations have called for the creation of just and equitable supply chains for critical minerals, according to a statement reported by Russian news agency TASS.
The statement said BRICS members recognize the key role critical minerals play in the development of zero- and low-emission energy technologies, as well as in ensuring energy security and the resilience of energy supply chains.
TASS did not provide further details on specific commitments, timelines, or mechanisms proposed by BRICS nations to achieve these goals.
BRICS, which includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa among its founding members, has in recent years expanded its membership and often addresses issues related to global economic cooperation, including energy and resource security, in joint statements.
