TASS reported that by 8:19 p.m. Moscow time, Brent crude was trading at $109.25 per barrel, marking an increase of 3.38% on the day.
The report did not specify the underlying cause of the price movement. TASS cited ICE trading data as the source of the figures.
Brent crude serves as one of the primary global benchmarks for oil pricing, and fluctuations in its price are closely watched by energy markets, producers and consumers worldwide.
