Three vessels, including an oil tanker, were struck by what the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) authority described as "unidentified" projectiles while transiting the Strait of Hormuz, according to Deutsche Welle Arabic.

The authority, which monitors security incidents in international waters, reported a resumption of repeated attacks in the strait — a vital artery for global energy trade through which a large share of oil and liquefied gas exports from Gulf states passes.
