شدد مبعوث وزير خارجية دولة الإمارات لمكافحة التطرف والإرهاب، مقصود كروز، على أن التنظيمات الإرهابية والمتطرفة تسعى بشكل دائم لاستغلال التكنولوجيا المتقدمة والأنظمة الناشئة، وفي مقدمتها الذكاء الاصطناعي، لتمرير مخططاتها.
وأوضح المسؤول الإماراتي أن هذا الاستغلال يشمل عمليات التجنيد المنظم واستقطاب الشباب وتوجيه قناعاتهم، إضافة إلى ترويج الخطابات الدعائية لهذه التنظيمات عبر المنصات الرقمية المختلفة.
وفي المقابل، أشار كروز إلى أن التقنيات الحديثة يمكن أن تكون أداة فعالة في مواجهة الفكر المتطرف، إذا ما تم توظيفها بالشكل الصحيح من قبل الجهات المعنية بمكافحة التطرف والإرهاب.
