Araghchi meets Azeri and Austrian counterparts in New York

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met separately with his counterparts from Azerbaijan and Austria in New York, as diplomats from around the world gathered on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, Iran's state news agency IRNA reported.

In the meeting with Azerbaijan's foreign minister, the two officials held talks addressing bilateral relations between Tehran and Baku, according to IRNA. The discussions took place as part of a broader series of engagements Iranian officials are holding with foreign counterparts during the high-level UN gathering this week.

The UN General Assembly's annual session has drawn foreign ministers and heads of state from across the globe to New York, creating an opportunity for bilateral meetings that might otherwise require separate visits.
