Aramburu Case: Two Accomplices Also Sentenced by Paris Assize Court

Following the trial for the murder of former Argentine rugby player Federico Martin Aramburu, the Paris assize court sentenced Loïk Le Priol to twenty-six years in prison and Romain Bouvier to nineteen years, according to Le Monde.

Two other individuals, tried for their peripheral role in the case, were also sentenced. Antony Sorrentino, described as Romain Bouvier's friend who helped him escape after the incident, received a three-year prison sentence entirely suspended.

Lyson Rochemir, presented as the ex-partner of Loïk Le Priol, was sentenced to three years in prison, with thirty months suspended, for her involvement in the case.

These two convictions, considerably more lenient than those of the direct perpetrators of the shooting, reflect the distinction made by the court between the responsibility of the shooters themselves and that of their associates in the aftermath of the homicide.

The verdict concludes a trial that brought to light all those involved, directly or indirectly, in the death of the rugby player that occurred in Paris in March 2022.
