The 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, which began on Tuesday and will continue until September 28, continues in New York, with world leaders meeting on the sidelines of the session's official meetings.

In his speech to the General Assembly, the Iranian president said that the problems of the Middle East must be solved from within, while stressing his country's rejection of any external interference in the affairs of the region.

Accusations against Israel

For his part, the head of the transitional period in Syria spoke about what he described as Israel's "aggression" on his country, pointing to more than 1,200 Israeli incursions into Syrian territory.

These statements come within the framework of the speeches delivered by the heads of state to the General Assembly during the current session, which constitutes an annual platform to present the positions of countries on various regional and international issues.

The coming days of the session are expected to witness more speeches and bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the meetings, at a time when the international community is awaiting the positions of other leaders on hot issues in the Middle East and other regions of the world.
