72 Young Women From Balochistan Complete Skills Training at IRM
Graduates from Kech, Gwadar and Panjgur districts completed beautician and cosmetology training under the Balochistan government's RISE Programme.
Seventy-two young women from Balochistan's Kech, Gwadar and Panjgur districts completed professional training in beautician and cosmetology on Thursday, under the Government of Balochistan-funded RISE Programme.
The training was conducted at the Institute of Rural Management (IRM) in Islamabad. Certificates were distributed to the graduates at a ceremony held at the IRM complex.
The RISE Programme is aimed at providing vocational and professional skills training to young women from Balochistan, with the goal of improving their employment prospects and economic independence. Programs of this kind have increasingly been used by provincial governments in Pakistan to address gender disparities in workforce participation, particularly in less economically developed regions such as Balochistan.
A provincial minister attended the certificate distribution ceremony, according to the report, though further details on remarks made at the event were not immediately available.
Officials overseeing the RISE Programme have not indicated whether additional training cohorts from Balochistan are planned in the near future.
