A 13th serving Metropolitan Police officer has been dismissed in connection with an undercover BBC investigation into misogyny and racism at Charing Cross police station, according to the Met.
PC Mason O'Connor was found to have committed discreditable conduct and breached professional behaviour standards, the force said. The dismissal was linked to a comment O'Connor made towards a female colleague.
The case is the latest to emerge from a BBC Panorama documentary that used undercover filming to expose a culture of misogyny and racism among some officers at the London police station. The programme's findings have led to a series of disciplinary actions against Met officers.
With O'Connor's dismissal, a total of 13 serving officers have now been sacked in relation to the investigation, according to the Met's account of the case.
